Templates: how to zip and export templates

The Template Manger offers you the ability to compress (zip) one more templates and their associated images. It creates a nicely organizized package that you could share as needed.

Click to visit the Templates Manager Templates Manager.

  1. Select one or more templates

    Selecting a single template or multiple templates reveals the zip button.
  2. Click the Zip button

    Clicking the Zip button will trigger Serious Email to start gathering HTML and image assets. If you have a lot of images, it will take longer. If you select several templates at once, it will take longer too.
  3. Save Zipped File

    Once the compression process is complete you'll be asked to download the zip. The zip will contain your HTML file as well as a folder of all your images. Data-See attributes will have been removed and all image paths will be made relative and will point to the newly created image folder.
  4. A Note About Zipping Images

    Sometimes you may want to include images that aren't necessarily used in your template. Here's a tip to on how to do that. Add a comment in your header that looks like this:

        <!-- Additional images to include

        https://s3.amazonaws.com/seriousemail/YOUR GROUP ID HERE/FILE NAME HERE.jpg
        https://s3.amazonaws.com/seriousemail/YOUR GROUP ID HERE/FILE NAME HERE.jpg
        https://s3.amazonaws.com/seriousemail/YOUR GROUP ID HERE/FILE NAME HERE.jpg

        -->

    The images in your comments will get included too. Don't know your group ID? Just look for the last folder name in any of your imported images. It will be a number. That's your Group ID.
